Yovel Badash
Managing Partner and Co-Founder 
Yovel has more than 15 years experience connecting companies and technology as a business leader and entrepreneur. He originally relocated to the United States to lead the operations for Sabratec Technologies, an Israeli innovator in legacy modernization. The strategic partnership he built with Software AG eventually led to Sabratec’s acquisition.
As Vice-President of United States Operations and a founding employee at Intellinx Software , a leader in the insider threat security market, Yovel was responsible for the development of strategic relationships with technology partners, as well as overseeing sales and in the United States. He also played a significant role in educating vertical markets like healthcare, banking, finance, insurance and government agencies on possible threats posed by insider’s activities.
In addition to his work with ModernWiser, Yovel founded Strategic Biz Dev, a New York based consulting firm that specializes in strategic advisory services for high-technology companies.
Throughout his career in North America, Youvel has successfully connected the companies he represented with leading technology companies including IBM, Microsoft, Google, CA, Compuware, Software AG, and Yahoo. He has built and nurtured productive business relationships from OEM and distribution/technology partnerships to strategic mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to coming to America, Yovel held key sales and marketing positions in several technology and real-estate companies in Israel. Yovel holds a B.Sc. Cum Laude in Computer Science and Management from the Open University in Tel Aviv.
Hans B. Otharsson
Co-Founder 
Hans has more than 25 years of experience solving business problems with technology. From both the technical and project aspects, he has helped companies in the US and around the world find flexible options for dealing with unwanted technology paradigms that seemed to defy solution.
He has defined and deployed modernization strategies for numerous Fortune 1000 companies. Through countless successful platform rehostings, application conversions, data conversions, and full modernization engagements, Hans has gained unique insight into the complexities of the application modernization problem.
Prior to co-founding ModernWiser, Hans was at Software AG for 12 years where he became Vice President of Global Services, responsible for the global management of an international services organization with over 1500 resources in 70 countries.
Previously he was Director of North American Operations for Consist Group, a worldwide computer software organization with headquarters in New York City, and Deputy Managing Director for Landsbanki Islands hf., the National Bank of Iceland.
Hans holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Computer Information Management from Bryant University.
Katherine Chalmers 
Katherine has more than 15 years of marketing management experience with both public and pre-IPO companies. Previously, she managed marketing for Netuitive, an innovative enterprise performance management software company named a Gartner Cool Vendor for 2007 and a Best of VMworld winner in 2007 and 2009. She began working with the company as a consultant in 2003 helping develop the initial branding strategy, website and collateral suite with the launch of its first IT software solution. She later joined the company full-time and helped build a highly-focused marketing organization that supported the company’s rapid growth. The company was named to Deloitte’s Virginia Fast 50 list in 2008. She built the global Internet marketing program for Categoric Software and at Survey.com in Silicon Valley, she built the company’s pre-funding marketing organization.
She earned an MBA from Emory University, a BA in History and Global Policy Studies from the University of Georgia, and studied at the Institut d’Etudies Politiques in Paris, France.
